Don’t Plarp His Bees
Don’t plarp his bees is a slang expression, with a meaning of “don’t upset him”.
The phrase is often seen photoshopped on posters of Kevin James’ “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” with Barry B. Benson being a frequent element on the edits.
The word “plarp” would first show up on Urban Dictionary in 2003, defined as an onomatopoetic word for a juicy fart.
In 2009, the Kevin James comedy, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” premiered, with moderate success.
Photoshop edits and image macros of the movie posters started emerging on Reddit in 2015, with captions saying “don’t plarp his bees” in an Expand Dong-style; with letters taken out of context, to be put together to read a final message.
Spread and Usage
“Don’t plarp his bees” would spread on various meme platforms, including numerous subreddits, me.me as well as Tumblr and iFunny.
A similarly popular format of the meme is the Google Autocomplete version, where people are puzzled by the reason why Google suggests “Don’t plarp his bees”.
