The origin of the play of words is a Youtube video re-uploaded in 2014, but the original video is credited to sanchitboy007.
The video is called Middle Eastern Marksmanship Training, and in the video a guy is mocking the way Muslims use guns, meanwhile he mentions “Aloha Snackbar” a couple of times.
Since then, there have been thousands of videos, and memes going around online, for instance, a video was uploaded on Youtube in 2017 titled “ALOHA SNACKBAR TRAP REMIX”.
Spread and Usage
After the original video, the term started to spread faster and faster. It got more recognition when the first entry in 2013 was written about the expression on Urban Dicitonary.
Throughout the years, more and more memes were made on sites such as Reddit or in various Facebook meme groups.
There are even shirts (that people can actually buy) with the title “Aloha Snackbar” next to a pineapple drew like a grenade.
