Within a few days, the meme was reposted on both Instagram and Reddit, spreading across numerous subs.
By April 2017, “I see you’re a man of culture as well” became a widely encountered meme format, appearing on subreddits like r/dankmemes and r/MemeEconomy as well as social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, 9GAG as well as 4chan.
