What does Brolic mean?

Brolic refers to an extremely well sculpted body.

One usually sees this physique on devoted gym regulars, as well as on people, performing in bodybuilding competitions.

Origin of the term

The term first appeared on the 1997 Notorius B.I.G. song “Long Kiss Good Night.”

Many people find a kind of affiliation with the Wu Tang Clan as they had released a song titled “Brolic Mode” in 1998.

Several other rappers had also included the term in their verses around that time, from Jay Z through Raekwon to Nas.

Spread of the term

The phrase appeared on Urban Dictionary in 2003, with a bunch of other, similar definitions written on it later.

With the height of the bro culture, the expression has also spread far and wide, most likely due to the obsession of “bros” with well-toned, ripped bodies.

The rise of hip hop culture in the late 90’s and early 2000’s had also contributed significantly to the spread of the term.
